"Super Names” Players gather into one big circle (unless the group has more than 15 participants, then break them into smaller groups of 6-10). Tell the group that you have just discovered a room full of superheros and that you want to know what makes each of them super. Are they super nice? Super fast? Super strong? Have players go around the circle and introduce themselves one by one, stating their first name and how they are super. To make it more interesting, students can act out a funny action and have the other students mimic it. The goal of this game is for students to learn each others names and to have funny while doing silly actions.
"Colour Hunt” Each student is given a colour card and a pencil. Players have about 5-10 minutes to find and match as many colours on the card as possible to one other person who is wearing something that is that same colour. When they spot the colour, they go up to the individual, introduce themselves, and ask the colour wearer to sign his or her name on the colour square. Players do no necessarily need to find every colour or fill up their colour cards for the game to be successful - the goal of the game is to meet and interact with others.
"Circle Switchers" Split the students into groups of about 8-12. Students are asked a yes or no question and if that question applies ot them, they need to stand up. Examples of questions are "Stand up if you own a dog", "Stand up if your favourite ice cream is chocolate.", or "Stand up if your favourite colour is green". Once students get use to standing up ot the questions, they are now challnged when they stand up to find a new spot to sit. For those that stand up, they must change spots with another student who has stood up as well. The goal of this game is for students to see other children that share common interests as them.
